Pastry Chef - Part 4

Here's an update on my pastry chef painting. Ideally, I'd like to get both this and the tar/feathering painting done by the Springville show. Time will be tight to get it finished, but I'll give it a shot. I tend to work on specific areas until they're completed and then move onto the next. I debate whether it's the best way to complete a painting, but I know it's the most comfortable way for me. I've found it's best to work into the surrounding objects/shapes so I don't have any sharp, abrupt edges. That's why I've painted the edge of the chef's white coat so it blends with the metal behind it.

The metal surface of the fridge looks almost more realistic here than at home ... not sure if that's good or bad??? I like it, though.

I think it appears that way because the image is smaller than the actual size of the painting. The details are more compressed so they seem more realistic. Which is a very good thing because that means my values are right. Thanks for the comment, dish.
