Winter Landscape

I thought I'd share this painting on the blog---it's one of my first attempts at plein air painting.

Winter. oil on linen panel. 8"x10". 2008.
$300 USD (frame included)

We spent the Christmas holiday with Mandy's parents in Wyoming, and while there I painted this painting. It was a balmy 10 degrees out at the time. (Which was the warmest it got the entire week we were there.) The paint actually started to freeze and became a little difficult to push around. Here's me braving the elements:

Hey Casey,
Thanks for the movie promotion!! Jonathan and I almost died laughing! It was awesome!

I like your painting too. You should do more plein air. Looks fun!

Tina--an amazing film such as that needed a poster, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was fun. We'll have to do some plein air painting together, maybe this summer?

Kake--thanks! I should have put in there some sledders being dragged around by a 4wheeler, huh? You need to come see the painting I'm working on of you!
