California Paintings

We just returned from vacationing in California where I was able to do a little outdoor painting. I'm finding how plein air painting really helps me work on seeing color and using it to create depth. It also helps me work on controlling values. Very useful stuff that I want to carry over to my studio work.

I'm not sure if you're allowed to sell paintings of Grandma's orange tree. I think you might be required to keep those in the family.

I'm still in love with "Orange Tree #2". It's seriously an exact replica! And if I had a job I would buy it.... :) Maybe one day haha
