Lassitude - Part Deux
I've got both the figures in this painting sketched out to where I have enough information put down to now start my color process, although only one of the faces is actually going to be in color.
I mixed up a mid-tone wash, this time I just thinned down ivory black with medium and mineral spirits instead of going with my usual wash. There's really no reason why I went with a different wash besides that I thought I'd try something else. I know, very profound...but it is what it is. I wiped this black crude across the entire canvas, wiping it on and off until I felt pretty good about it. Now on to color....
