Finalist in the PSoA's 2011 International Competition!

I got a call from Gordon Wetmore, Chairman of the Portrait Society of America, that my painting, Biangle (Portrait of Lauren and Everett), has been selected as a finalist for the Portrait Society of America's 2011 International Portrait Competition!! Quite an honor since it was chosen to be in the top 20 from 1,800 international entries! I will be taking the painting to the PSoA's Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA on April 28th were it will be on display with the other finalists. The finalists will then be judged in person by the distinguished panel of judges for the top awards and prizes.
Quoting from PSoA's website, "Reflecting a unique combination of skill and talent, the International Portrait Competition showcases the finest in portraiture and figurative art, and has become one of the most prestigious events in the field of fine art portraiture.Top award winners will be eligible for over $50,000 in cash and prizes. The William Draper Grand Prize includes a feature article in International Artist Magazine and a cash prize of $5,000 sponsored by Jack Richeson & Co. Finalist also receive recognition in the Art of the Portrait® Journal and on the Portrait Society's website. Top 20 finalists receive complementary tuition to The Art of the Portrait® Conference 2012, as well as other cash and prizes."

This is my favorite art piece ever. I saw it on tumbler and immediately loved it. You are so talented!!!
